Michael J. Lucas

Michael Lucas, a native Californian, is the son of a Beverly Hills firefighter, fisherman, hunter, off-roader and truth teller, the grandson of a commercial fisherman, boat builder, pilot, hunter and inventor, and the nephew of an off-road racer, hunter, fisherman and scientist. These were the guys (among others) who passed on their love for adventure and the great outdoors to Mike.

Mike has worked as a deckhand/co-captain on a sport fishing boat in Baja California and Mexico. He was a firefighter (thru Lieutenant) for an aerospace company in California, has owned his own small business, and continues to own and operate a horse boarding facility in the Los Angles area.

He is a life member of NRA, as well as past and present President of the San Fernando Valley Chapter of Safari Club International. He has been the chapter chair and co-chairperson of different Ducks Unlimited groups, and is a long standing member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. I donate time to the Safari Club's Youth Safari and other well meaning organizations that promote hunting, gun ownership, and conservation.

His hobbies include hunting, fishing, off-roading, scuba diving, camping, backpacking, water skiing, snow skiing, hiking, and just about anything that has to do with outdoors.

He has hunted and fished in the Western United States, Michigan, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Mike plans to continue hunting in the rest of the United States and all of the countries he has missed. As Mike says … new places, new people, and new game.
